My Journey to Astrology
Welcome! I’m Alexandra Gaspar, and I’m glad to share a bit about myself with you.
With a background in philosophy and journalism, all my life I have explored the questions and wonders of a strong Gemini/Sagittarius nodal axis.
In this journey of reconciling fact with belief, experience with faith, certainty with the unexplainable, in a tension between mind and spirit, data and meaning, one day in 2015 I had to venture into what seemed absolutely outrageous to a French academia Cartesian-formatted mind:
What if astrology not only worked, but was so clockwork-accurate that it undeniably spoke of the cosmos as something I needed to fully reconsider as a whole?
Rahu, the Vedic creature giving its name to the North Node of the Moon, was doing its job, pushing me into strange, uncharted territories (although the nature of the question was still quite Cartesian itself).
And, lo and behold, after earning a living as a journalist, a theater producer, and a translator, I finally became what I was meant to be — an astrologer.
The Archer’s strategy, in a word, is to live life as an adventure. He must surrender all notions of safety. He must willingly set aside any idea or opinion as soon as he sees himself hiding behind it. He must go unhesitatingly forward, expecting miracles, forever ready to perform that classic Sagittarian masterstroke: the leap of faith.

Why I Disappeared From Social Media
You won’t find any social media activity related to me since that year of 2015.
Not only was I running my Ketu Dasha, and that’s what Ketu generally does to people: you become extremely focused, spiritualized, internalized (remember, Ketu has no head). But mostly, I had no time to lose! There were tons of books to read, courses to do, and techniques to experiment with.
Then, in 2017, I started a practice, donation-based, that has been growing since by word of mouth.
My Astrological Approach
My foundational approach is that of Tropical Vedic astrology as taught by my wonderful teacher, Ernst Wilhelm.
This means applying the ancient Hindu astrology techniques to the Tropical zodiac. So, if you are, say, a Libra ascendant, Taurus Sun, and Pisces Moon like me according to the Western signs, then you will stay exactly that in the context of a Tropical Vedic reading.
But then you’ll also benefit from some of the most mind-blowing Eastern ancient systems of natal interpretation and prediction, without sacrificing the tropical zodiac. When I realized this was being done by a master astrologer like Ernst Wilhelm, I thought I had found the best of both worlds. Ten years later, I still do.
Other important influences include the Western teachings of amazing researchers such as Bernadette Brady, Robert Hand, Ronald Davison, and John Frawley.
What I Offer
My readings tend to be a back-and-forth between a South Indian chart analysis for the general dynamics of your birth chart and Dasha, or time period interpretations, and looking at the Western chart for transits and certain precise, significant natal positions. No view seems complete without the other.
I can help you in a variety of ways, from personal growth, life direction, relationship insight, or emotional healing to outlining present and future trends, highlighting challenges ahead, as well as moments of ease.
My joy is to provide you with the tools to navigate whatever hardship your chart is holding. For there is more joy in giving than in receiving. And as it happens, my ascendant ruler, Venus, is in the 7th house – the house of you!
